This September, in recognition of Tennessee's Archaeology Awareness Month, we are hosting a new version of our Archaeology Day on September 23. Join us to view the prehistoric items in the Travellers Rest, see demonstrations on prehistoric technology, and participate in a pottery puzzle.
Pricing: $15- adults (over 13), $10- children (6– 13), family tickets (2 adults + up to 3 children) $40; Educator and Archaeology professional price - $12 per adult, Children 5 and under - FREE

- LEARN about the first residents of Travellers Rest from Travellers Rest Staff
- DEMONSTRATIONS in primative technology including atlatl throwing
- PARTICIPATE in several hands-on activities including a pottery puzzle
Outdoor event, with rain plan. In the event of storms, the program date will be rescheduled and notifications will be made as soon as possible regarding ticket exchanges.
As stewards of the cultural items located at Travellers Rest, please refrain from searching for or picking up any artifacts you might come across outside of the programmed stations while visiting.
