The 1864 Tennessee Campaign Symposium

This symposium is to honor the 160th anniversary of the Tennessee Campaign/Battle of Nashville events. The events begin on Friday night and Saturday morning (Dec. 13-14) with a symposium. The keynote will be delivered Friday night at Belmont Mansion by Larry J. Daniel. The remaining speakers will be on Saturday morning at Travellers Rest. The symposium is sponsored by the Tennessee Civil War National Heritage Area. Living history events are at Fort Negley and Shy’s Hill. The Battle of Nashville Trust is also hosting a reception a Travellers Rest on Saturday evening featuring Curt Fields as General Grant. Activities continue Sunday, December 15 and Monday, December 16.
