World of the Overtons Homeschool Day

Experience what life was like at Travellers Rest during the early 1800s! Write with quill pens, play with old-fashioned toys & games, and visit the one-room schoolhouse! Each station includes information on the enslaved experience and add-on activities are available.

Attendees will be divided into groups to go through all the stations of the program. The program will take between 2 & 2 ½ hours in length. Guests are invited to bring a lunch to enjoy on the grounds following the program.

Date: March 10, 2024

Time: 10:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Cost: $8 per person. A ticket is required for all children and adults attending.

Children 4 & Under – Free

Recommended for Students in Grades – K-4th

If younger children would like to participate in the craft, parents can purchase a $2 Activity Fee which can be added at site check-in.
